This evening, I went to a Jujitzu class with my friend. Well, I watched. It looks like it might be kind of fun...I might decide to enroll, but I'm worried that it might spark up my hip problems if I land wrong from being flipped and what-not. I'm gonna give this some thought...

hey girlie.. i can only imagine how hot it is there if it is this hot here!!! As for the class... ask the teacher if it is going to require being thrown on your hip, if so, ask if there is any way you can just learn some moves that dont require that because of your hip and that would still be cool!
Wow, that's pretty fierce to dive into... do you do anything else physically right now?
I'd suggest yoga or pilates to get your muscles a little stronger, more flexible and ready for all that action. Plus, the balance and mental focus you can get from yoga helps in any other physical activity you later pursue. Helps to be able to dodge someone's strike without falling over your own feet! :D
Something a little more active? I took some capoeira and belly dancing classes a while back and they were SO fun and truly used muscles I didn't know I had. I gained balance and grace from these as well. Plus, when I wanted to practice by myself, I didn't need a partner. Oh, and the belly dancing outfits you can wear are HOT!
Just some thoughts.
xo
I want to take Krav Maga. Check that out if you are wary about Jujitsu (not sure what that is like). Now I don't know if it would possibly mess with your hip, but that is supposed to be the most intense workout there is.
well my opinion is pretty obvious, i would love for you to join Ju Jitsu class. What you watched the other night was the advance class. We never throw people around who are not in physical shape to handle it. All of those people had been going to classes for atleast a year. Plus we teach you how to fall first. Coach is all about working around an injury. Anyway hope you decide to join. :-)
Have a good time on the 30th I really hate that i won't be there. See you in a couple weeks.
